Furniture Paint

Question–: What after treatment would I put on furniture after spray painting?
I want to put some gold spray paint on a dressing table and table to livn it up but what should I put on it afterwards, like varnish?

I want it to stay bright gold but be able to polish it so would need something to coat it to protect?

clear polyurthane is what you use to protect your paint job. I did a little old table pink with gold spray painted over that and it came out great. Good luck!

If you use urathanes or any type varnish in a few months it will yellow and not look good. You would be better off using a clear spray shellac it stays clear! Available at all places that sell paint!
