Pim St Dublin, an old garage door with lots of texture from the peeling paint, its a small narrow street so difficult to frame a shot with parked cars, a low viewpoint looked best. I visited the site on two occasions and waited for some strong light before taking this one. Pim St is at the back of Thomas Street quite near the Guinness Brewery. I thought this might make a nice backdrop for a fashion shoot.

This is a mainly white folk bench decorated in pinks, blues, greens, reds, yellows, purples and blacks. It’s got an opening (although stiff) seat for storage. 1/12th scale.

tips:
Question–: What color would look nice to paint wood furniture for white walls?
My new apartments’ walls are white, sadly, but I bought an unfinished dresser, so I wanted to add some color to my new room. Anybody have to resort to this? And what colors looked good? Bad? Shades of colors? Any help would be great.
I also want it to look sort of classy, mostly earth tones maybe? I really have no clue what I’m doing:) if you do know, of love your advice! Thanks!!

I would paint the dresser frame lighter green with deeper green on the drawer fronts.The top could also be painted the same darker green as the drawer fronts.Your white walls are excellent as a backdrop because you can use any colors you want in your decor with no other color competing for attention.Have fun = )

Basically, strong colors wouldn’t fit. White would just make them extremely violent, even if they wouldn’t be bright. I would go for light nuances of warm colors (yellow, brown, even crimson and cardinal red). No more than five basic variations will ensure coherence and will put the white walls in the background. Hope this helps,

I tried a maroon/wine color once and I hated it. The only colors I was really happy with were creamy off white or white (in a glossy paint).

If it looks too plain, you can give it that distressed-look by using an antique color gold and lightly rubbing edges of knobs, edges of the top and sides (places where it would be naturally worn from use). Can you add color to the room just with colorful things like lamps, art work, the bedding, etc.
