Sticker on the mailbox says ‘i’m not bossy, you just need to be told what to do.’ This bachelor pad had black furniture, electronics and ugly jeans everywhere. Also, a pet tarantula. And stripper (platform, high heel) go-go boots crammed into a shelf in the basement.

It’s a challenge seeing how far I can take getting photos from almost impossible situations and then making my thing from then.

This is a bar in a cellar in the old town of Lublin – very poorly lit with black furniture and a great many black and white photographs on the wall. We like the bar, even if it smells a little damp, it is just raw and cool at the same time.

A white wall or a eggshell would be a nice contrast. Even a biege or tan would look good!

With dark furnishings…you really need to go light with wall color…a shade of white or cream would make the room seem more open. Maybe use one wall as an accent wall (paint it red) to coordinate with furniture. Use coordinating accessories

Stark white or a pale dove gray.

Depending on the shade of red you might be able to pull off a flesh tone on the wall but that would take some color matching.

i am a painter there is a Color called killiem beige that would look awesome in your house it is a semi light to medium brown

a tan or beige color would really provide a nice contrast to the room from the couch and table.
