Q&A–: How to remove house paint from concrete?
My class buys house paint to paint posters, and it has gotten stained on the school’s conrete, so I was wondering if there are any products to remove it in a safe and simple way? So far I’ve looked upon CitriStrip, but I heard it takes awhile to remove, and sort of smells? And I’ve also heard about Klean-Strip, but the products looks toxic and difficult to use…? Help, please?

Water, wire brushes and lots of elbow grease. Give the poster painters a wire brush and tell them to get to work.

house paint–: Is it ok to store house paint in the garage? I live where it snows/freezes intermittently during the winter?
When I moved into the house, all of the house paint was stored in the laundry room but I would rather keep it in the garage. I was wondering if I would mess up the paint if I did. I live in the southern ohio/western west virginia/eastern kentucky region.
The garage is very poorly insulated.

The following is the answer: (Hint: The answer is not necessarily.)

alot depends on how cold it will get , normaly you dont want to store paint where it can get below 50 degrees but if it freezes its most likely ruint.

Answer by Big Deal Maker
Most paints today are made of latex base. It is also a water base type of mix. It will freeze and it will make the latex and water separate and render the paint useless. Paint has only a 1 year shelf life anyway if it is in the original unopened can. Most paint unopened will last a bit more but if it has been opened and over a year old take it to your nearest center that will take in hazardous material and get rid of it. It is not really worth the saving of per gal to keep.

Answer by cheezy
no, you can’t store it in the garage–says right on the label–keep from freezing. when you use paint that has been frozen on an object–it won’t dry unless you bake it in the oven for a couple hours. can’t really put a wall in the oven. lol

Oil-bound paint will be OK, however water based paint will freeze and be .rendered useless
TIP When painting in very cold weather, place paint-pot in boiling water, (oil-bound )

Answer by JOAN
If your paint freezes it will be ruined.

Answer by The Outcast
You don’t want the paint to freeze, so unless your garage is heated, don’t store it there.
