My friends and I are thinking about making a sign for a Jonas Bros concert. We came up with the idea of painting with glow in the dark paint, only problem is we don’t know where to buy it. What would be a good place to get buy it, that’s won’t cost TOO much and work well for a poster board?

Try Arts & Crafts store. Michaels or Jo Ann (good arts and crafts stores) might have it.

Most of the stuff you get from Department and Craft Stores uses the old technology called Zinc Sulfide. Consider ordering the newer Strontium Aluminate paints online from a company like Glow Inc. Their website also has a gallery of pictures and a discussion forum.

spencer gifts. they have different colors green pink blue yellow. it’s easy to apply only costs around 5-10 dollars.

To be honest Glow in the Dark would NOT be of much use to you as although it GLOWS in the DARK it has to be really dark to use, also at most concerts there is a lot of lighting making the glow fade down. You would be better off buying some UV reactive paint ( any artshop could have some) Just get a uv blacklight torch ($ 10.00) and go round the art shops shining it on paint the ones that glow (bingo) or even use DAYGLOW paper and stick it on. At the concert shine the torch on the Board IT WILL LIGHT UP !! now thats a cheap option.

Question–: Why doesnt the glow in the dark paint glow?
ok so i bought a glow in the dark paint in home depot and i applied it into styrophone balls but it doesnt work. i turn off all the lights but it doesnt glow??? whats wrong with it??? please help me i nees this done in 2 days!!! THANKS!!!

If you shut off the light and put on a black light they will glow

Sometimes you have to hold the glow-in-the-dark object up to light for a few minutes. Then it should glow.

Light has always been the source of fascination and inspiration for artists. It has been admired and feared, worshiped and condemned. It has been glorified. Many artists have tried to capture light in their works, successfully or not the attempts to portray this unique source of beauty and power were numerous. And I am – no exception.
Painting with light is yet another way to capture the beauty of light and reveal the unspoken. Light painting – photography technique, in which very long exposures are made either at night or in a dark room by moving a hand-held light source or by moving the camera. First time the subject of light painting came up in a conversation with my photography professor Greg Kie. However the inspiration for this kind of photography came unexpectedly. At the time of extreme devastation and scrutiny, I was given a bouquet of flowers by my best friend, as a symbol of love, care, support and what’s more important – Hope. This bouquet was charged with feelings, positive emotions and love. It was electric in its entity. I was inspired to reveal the charge and the glow of the bouquet. This is how my first ever “light painting” image was created. I decided to continue my work in that direction. Light painting not only reveals the hidden and speaks the unspoken, it has the ability to speak it’s own unique language, language of feelings and emotions, abstract language, it speaks the language that everyone can understand and see something different and unique and it is the language of light. Painting with light also represents the whole new movement in photographic art, and I intend to continue working towards developing new techniques, it is a whole world of old and new techniques to capture the real and unreal of this world………
