we did paint several lofts. if you would like to you need to go to the paint store and get some paint samples. they come on little cards. some of them peel off and you can stick it to the wall and step back to see what the color looks like against the flooring. you can do faux finish with sea sponges and use 3 different paint colors. the 3 colors should be different shades from light to dark. you can put the dark color as the base color. they have books in the store with rooms painted so you can have an idea. Lowe’s and Home Depot have the same thing. the color is up to what fancies you the most. as far as finding furniture you should check out roomstogo.com that is rooms to go. they have great furniture at reasonable prices and they have financing. there are also rent to own furniture stores in our town check to see if you have any near you. my sister has furnished her entire house minus the kitchen table from one of those stores. her house is fabulous. it looks as if she went to a major furniture store to get her furniture. there are beds that have very low frames that put you near the floor. you can also make your own with plywood and put furniture backing and then fabric over it. it is a do it your self project. the head board would be against the wall so you can staple the fabric to the wood with a staple gun. they make some other than the silver ones that hurt. i bought a grey one with black handle that had comfort grip they cost around 13 bucks at Lowe’s or Home Depot. good luck.
