I want to paint my bedroom furniture. I have had it for about 11 years now and i need something new but it’s a great quality set that isn’t beaten up yet. I want to either paint it black or white. It is a light wood stain right now. My room is a medium shade of purple with white trim. I think both are classy colors but I just can’t decide.

deffinetly white, because your room already has a white trim, so it might look weird if you have a white trim with black furniture (even tho black furniture is very nice) white furniture will make ur room look stylish and bright, plus white goes with everything. And personally i LOVE purple and white bedrooms. they just look very pretty and cheerful.

Q&A–: What color to paint my walls with Black/Chrome furniture?
In my home office/bedroom, I am using black furniture with chrome accessories and handles, and need a color to paint my walls that will match well, in addition to a good bedspread color.

Does anyone have some suggestions? I want it to be warm and inviting, but not bland.

i luv wella’s burgundy idea, wow. i wouldnt do orange b/c it might look like halloween but that’s just me. i could say something similar about yellow (bumble bee) but for some reason i think if you use yellow right it might look marvelous, funky and/or interesting. i think burgundy or cranberry sounds great. for the bedspread how about graphite and white?

Valspar makes metallic paints. I heard from a few design professionals that ralph lauren is a waste of money

Well there are a couple of things you could do( depending on your style.) If you are one of those out going types try a baja red or another shade of red. If you are a little more laid back try a light blue or a nice shade of olive green. As far as bedspreads go for the red try a lighter color like yellow or orange. If you do the green, use a navy comforter and maybe some cream or orange pillows. I am trying to get a feel for the room but I am not sure if I have the right feel if not sorry, But I hope this helps.

A few suggestions, try the grey walls. Or you can do a red, or even try a sea foam (soft green). It really depends on your taste. What you can do is paint 3 walls one color, and then accent one of the walls with Ralph Lauren Metalic paint in a similar shade to the other walls. It will give it a very modern industurial look.

Medium green colored walls, with one dark green wall to accent all the other walls. The dark green wall should probably be the same wall that your headboard is going to be leaning up against. It will really make your bedroom and office pop. Black, green, and chrome, are wonderful matches. Your bedroom/office is going to look spectacular! As for the bedspread, I’d recommend white. A very light and white comforter. With your main pillows being light green and one accent pillow in the middle, being dark green. Your bedroom/office space is going to look fantastic!

Your black and chrome furniture goes with just about anything you like. I have black furniture, light gray carpeting and steel gray walls in my bedroom. I love it because it’s very calming. I’ve also got a white comforter and deep eggplant, navy and mustard-sort-of colored throw pillows. On the walls, if you put black or chrome picture frames with black/white photos, that should pull the whole room together. Good luck!

RED!!! it will pop. do red, some yellow, and your black furniture. (my sister did a white, black, and red bedroom and it looked so modern but good looking)
