Question–: property lighting is connected to my back porch light…?
Gm Rob,

Well I finally moved in most of my furniture this past Saturday night and most of Sunday …I wasn’t able to inspect most of the unit , But I was concern with not have a back porch light.And did notice that the big large street light for parking lot and property was attached to my back light connection, My boyfriend was is retired from CPS electrician confirm that the power for light was getting the power from my apt light switch for back porch switch.If that is true ,I don’t think I as a tenant should be responsible for bill on providing lighting for property and parking area.I wasn’t able to review move in sheet ,but will do so this coming weekend when I come back into town from work in Austin .

Dear Blanca,

I hope you’re getting settled in to the new apartment. I received your message about the exterior lighting and wanted to let you know that many of our multifamily properties have exterior lighting connected to the power supply for the individual apartments. While the minimal cost of operating common area lights is taken into consideration when we set our rental rates, the benefit of having a well lighted property is shared by everyone.
